River2Sea Whopper Plopper 75 - 3"
Why We Like It:
"For better or worse, fishing pressure can get pretty high on red drum in shallow water throughout our area. Sometimes you just need to throw something a little different at those educated reds. If we know an area should be holding fish, but we aren't convincing them to come up and smack a traditional topwater, we turn to the Whopper Plopper. The low pitch of the spinning tail makes a gurgle that seems to drive a red crazy. Originally meant for musky fishing in freshwater, we have decided to let you all in on one of our local secrets. Plus, Larry Dahlberg designed this lure, and those fanatical bass guys seem to love it, so it must be good!"
Description: The Whopper Plopper 75 is the little brother of the original Whopper Plopper, but don’t let its little package fool you, this bait has a serious little man’s complex. Built with the same durable construction as the rest of the line with Xtra Strong components including hook hangers, wires, and X-Strong size 4 treble hooks. This smaller version is made tough to battle bigger foes.
While his big brothers rely on powerful chops of their tail to attract strikes, the Whopper Plopper 75 relies more on quickness, with a unique sound more reminiscent of a buzz saw, Whopper Plopper 75 is tailor made for topwater fishing in high pressure situations and when the forage base is smaller.
